Introduced in 2017, the 5531G was the first minute repeater built to always chime the time of whichever city is selected on its world-time display, rather than the time shown on the main dial, a mechanism Patek Philippe patented for the reference. Its dial center is a Grand Feu cloisonné enamel scene of a Belle Époque steamboat on Lake Geneva, made under Patek's Rare Handcrafts programme, ringed by a 24-hour scale covering all 24 world-time zones.
