Most watchmaking expertise leaves the workshop as a private conversation. The client receives the answer, and the watch leaves without a public record of the expert's contribution.

Watch Safe publishes each completed examination with the authenticator's name and findings. Each record expands the documented body of work under your own name.

You receive the same rate for a completed examination whether the watch is authentic or inauthentic. The owner's price is also the same for either conclusion: an inauthentic watch receives a written findings statement at the same fee.

Within the program, every conclusion carries the same rate. Compensation is based on the completed examination and submitted findings.

Watch Safe charges authenticators no listing fee, monthly fee, membership fee or per-booking charge. The program has no exclusivity requirement or minimum volume.

You keep your clients, workshop, schedule and rates. You may decline any request.

Watch Safe markets the registry to watch owners. Approved authenticators appear by name in the public directory. Owners can review each professional's business and city before booking directly.

Admission is selective. Every application is reviewed by hand. The first professionals admitted will work with Watch Safe to write the examination standard for the network.

At launch, the program is open to United States professionals with US tax status. Activation requires a completed W-9 and current $1,000,000 errors and omissions coverage. Individual applicants in California, Massachusetts and New Jersey are reviewed through the company path.

Every authentication is an in-person physical examination with access to the movement. Authenticators participate as independent contractors and receive payment through Stripe Connect after submitting findings.

Rates for completed examinations are $150, $269.40, $374.50 or $599.50 according to the watch's value tier. Exact terms are confirmed with the invitation.
