A cleaner reworking of the 6234: Rolex dropped the telemetre track, added baton hands and faceted applied markers, and aimed the dial squarely at racing drivers rather than general timing. It's widely treated as the direct progenitor of the Daytona, not just because it came first, but because its layout is recognisably the template every later Cosmograph dial follows.
