Everose is not a marketing name for pink gold. It is Rolex's own alloy, cast in its foundry with a small platinum addition, and the platinum is there to stop the copper leaching out over years of wear — the reason ordinary rose gold fades toward yellow. This Daytona is from the run before the ceramic bezel, so it wears a metal one.
- The platinum in Everose is a fade-resistance measure rather than a precious-metal flourish.
Before you ask.

The 116505 was produced from 2008 to 2023.

The Rolex 116505 runs the Cal. 4130, an automatic movement.
How do I check a Rolex 116505 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
