Patek Philippe · Nautilus
The /1 in a Patek reference means it comes on a bracelet. Without it the same watch ships on a strap, which is the entire difference between this and the 5980R — same case, same movement, same dial options, one integrated bracelet. On an integrated-case design like the Nautilus that is not a minor distinction, because the bracelet is drawn as part of the case rather than attached to it.
The 5980/1R has been in production since 2008.
The Patek Philippe 5980/1R runs the CH 28-520 C, an automatic movement.
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
