The first Nautilus ever fitted with a chronograph. It runs the CH 28-520, Patek Philippe's first self-winding chronograph movement developed and manufactured in-house — a flyback design with a column wheel and vertical clutch. Elapsed time is read from a single co-axial subdial at six o'clock combining the sixty-minute and twelve-hour counters, which is why the dial carries no conventional pair of chronograph registers.
