The first IWC to run seven days on a single wind, and the watch that set the modern Portugieser template: sub-seconds at nine, power reserve at three. It winds by the Pellaton system, a pawl-driven mechanism Albert Pellaton designed for IWC in the 1940s that converts rotor movement in both directions into winding through a cam and two clicks.
