The sapphire Moonwatch of the calibre 1861 era. Sapphire front and back, and the movement behind the display caseback is the decorated 1863 rather than the plain 1861 fitted where nobody can see it. Nothing about it is a limited edition. It is the version Omega sold to buyers who wanted to watch the movement run, at the cost of the flight-qualified acrylic crystal.
- Sapphire crystal front and back, and the 1863 calibre, are what separate this reference from the hesalite 311.30.42.30.01.005.

Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
