Tudor's first Submariner rated to 200 metres, and the reason it wears an oversized crown — a larger crown seals more securely and can be worked with cold or gloved hands. Roughly 1,100 were made, which makes it one of the scarcest Tudor divers, and its proportions are the ones the modern Black Bay Fifty-Eight was drawn from.
- The oversized crown is a sealing and handling decision, not a styling one.

How do I check a Tudor 7924 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
