One of the earliest 'Big Crown' Submariners, built alongside the small-crown 6204/6205 while Rolex was still testing variations on its new dive watch. The oversized 8mm crown could be worked wearing gloves, and the thicker case took the depth rating to 200 metres, double the small-crown models. Production was tiny and brief before Rolex consolidated the line into the 6538/6536 pair.
