The first GMT-Master II, and the reference that made the second time zone genuinely useful. Calibre 3085 allowed the local hour hand to be set independently in one-hour steps without stopping the movement, so a traveller could change zones while the 24-hour hand held the reference time. The movement was thick enough that the case had to grow, which is where Fat Lady comes from.
Key dates.
- Introduced as the first GMT-Master II, on calibre 3085
- Only the black-and-red bezel was catalogued for this reference.
Before you ask.

The 16760 was produced from 1983 to 1988.

How do I check a Rolex 16760 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
