Rolex · GMT-Master II
Known in the trade as the Root Beer II / Rootie.
The two-tone GMT-Master II of the neo-vintage era. Its brown-and-black bezel is the one German-speaking collectors call Tigerauge, tiger's eye, and it ran alongside a plain black bezel option for most of the reference's life — so two 16713s can look quite different and both be correct.
The 16713 was produced from 1989 to 2007.
The Rolex 16713 runs the Cal. 3185 / 3186, an automatic movement.
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
