The last GMT-Master II with an aluminium bezel insert, and the only reference officially sold with all three insert colours — red and blue 'Pepsi', red and black 'Coke', and plain black. Late examples got a black insert with no colour at all, which the trade calls the 'Blackout'.
- Because inserts are interchangeable, an aluminium-era GMT's bezel colour tells you nothing reliable about how it left the factory.
Before you ask.
When was the Rolex 16710 produced?
The 16710 was produced from 1989 to 2007.
What movement does the Rolex 16710 use?
The Rolex 16710 runs the Cal. 3185, an automatic movement.
How do I check a Rolex 16710 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
