A platinum Jumbo is rare in Royal Oak history: the only precedent was the 14802PT of 2000, an anniversary piece of which just eight were made after retailers balked at the price of a planned 125-piece run. This reference revived platinum in the 39mm Jumbo line in 2021, still on the calibre 2121 that had powered every Jumbo since 1972, ahead of the 50th-anniversary 16202 generation that replaced the movement with the calibre 7121.
Key dates.
- First platinum Jumbo, ref. 14802PT — only 8 made
- Platinum returns to the 39mm Jumbo line with this reference
- This reference runs the calibre 2121. The 50th-anniversary 16202PT that followed it runs the newer calibre 7121 — the two should not be confused.

How do I check a Audemars Piguet 15202PT with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
