Code 11.59 was Audemars Piguet's attempt at a collection that was not the Royal Oak, launched in 2019 to an openly hostile reception. The argument for it is in the case: an octagonal middle section between a round bezel and a round caseback, with hollowed lugs passing through the middle, assembled from three separate parts. The octagon is the Royal Oak's, moved to where you only see it from the side.
- The three-part case with an octagonal middle section is the defining Code 11.59 construction.
