A. Lange & Söhne · Lange 1
Known in the trade as the Lange 1.
One of four watches Lange launched in October 1994 to relaunch the company after German reunification — the Saxon firm had been expropriated in 1948 and spent four decades out of existence. The asymmetric dial follows the golden ratio, and the outsize date is drawn from the Semper Opera's five-minute clock in Dresden.
The 101.022 was produced from 1994 to 2015.
The A. Lange & Söhne 101.022 runs the L901.0, a manual movement.
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
