Warranty Card

A card issued at the time of original sale, typically stamped by the retailer and carrying the watch's reference and serial number.

Why this detail matters.

A warranty card's printed serial and reference should match the watch's own markings exactly, and the retailer stamp and date should be plausible for when the watch was made. A card that doesn't match the watch it accompanies, or shows signs of alteration, is a documentation inconsistency worth investigating alongside the watch itself.
