Ghost Bezel

A faded aluminum bezel insert, typically on dive watches, where sun exposure has bleached the color evenly across the insert.

Why this detail matters.

Ghost bezels are a natural aging pattern collectors value on genuine vintage watches, but the fade should be even and consistent with the insert's material and the watch's actual age and exposure history. An artificially or unevenly faded insert, or one that doesn't match the aluminum-era production window for that reference, is worth a closer look.
