The line that carried Kurt Klaus's perpetual calendar. His 1985 mechanism was mechanically programmed to 2499 and, unusually, set entirely from the crown with no case-side correctors — so an owner whose watch stopped could restart it without sending it anywhere. The four-digit year window was his idea too: a calendar that tells you the year is a calendar that admits it will outlive you.
