Cartier · Santos
Louis Cartier made the Santos in 1904 for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Brazilian aviator, who could not check a pocket watch while flying. It is one of the strongest claims to the first purpose-built men's wristwatch, and the exposed screws on the bezel have been the design's signature ever since.
The WSSA0009 has been in production since 2018.
The Cartier WSSA0009 runs the Cal. 1847 MC, an automatic movement.
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
