Where Audemars Piguet puts the experiments. The first, in 2002, was cased in Alacrite 602 — a cobalt-chromium alloy borrowed from turbine blades — and the line has since carried supersonnerie chiming, flying tourbillons and a mechanical arm that lifts to indicate. These are not Royal Oaks with complications added; the case architecture is different, which is why the catalogue keeps them separate.
