Introduced in late 2017 as the sixth watch in Lange's Handwerkskunst series, the 421.048 combined a split-seconds chronograph with a perpetual calendar in a 41.9mm white gold case, and paired that mechanical complexity with a dial technique Lange had not used before: engraving under translucent champlevé enamel. Limited to 20 pieces, it runs on the manual calibre L101.1.
