In 1999 Lange's Datograph set a new bar for chronograph finishing and mechanics. In 2004, the 1815 Chronograph offered a pared-back take on that same architecture: strip out the date mechanism and the case gets thinner. Ref 401.026, in white gold, is the first-generation version, built on caliber L951.0, a Datograph-derived movement without a flyback function and with a 36-hour reserve.
