Glossary
A replacement dial fitted by the brand's own service center to replace one that was damaged, distinct from an unauthorized redial.
A service dial is disclosed and legitimate when it comes from the manufacturer, but it does change the watch's originality and can affect value, so it should be identified and recorded rather than presented as the original dial. The distinction between a documented service dial and an unauthorized redial matters for both the authentication record and any valuation.
