In-House Movement
A movement designed and manufactured by the watch brand itself, as opposed to a movement bought in from an outside supplier.

A brand's marketing claims about in-house manufacturing should match what's actually inside the case; some brands use in-house calibers in part of their range while using outsourced ones elsewhere in the same catalog. Authenticators check the actual movement against what the specific reference is documented to contain, rather than assuming brand-wide claims apply to every model.
