01What this page is for
Watch Safe never sells personal information. We do load two advertising measurement pixels on our marketing pages, the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms, Inc. and the TikTok Pixel from TikTok Inc., and when a free registration is completed we may send a server-side registration event to those two companies that contains a one-way hash of the email address and phone number on the account, the IP address, and the browser user agent. Under California law, that activity may count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Section 2.2(d) of our Privacy Policy describes it in full.
This page lets you opt out. You do not need an account, and you do not need to tell us who you are.
02How to opt out
2.1 Use the switch at the bottom of this page. Turning it on sets a first-party cookie named ws_no_share in this browser. The cookie lasts one year and applies to every page on watchsafe.io. Flipping the switch makes no request to us. The cookie then travels with your ordinary page requests like any other cookie, which is how our server knows to skip the registration event described in 3.2.
2.2 Watch Safe also honors the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends that signal, you are opted out automatically, and the switch below will tell you so. You do not need to set the cookie as well.
2.3 The opt-out applies to the browser you set it in. If you use more than one browser or device, set it in each one, or turn on Global Privacy Control in each one. If you have a Watch Safe account and want the opt-out applied to that account across every device, email privacy@watchsafe.io from the address on the account. That is the same address the Privacy Policy gives for every other privacy rights request, and we handle it the same way.
03What changes after you opt out
3.1 The Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel do not load in that browser, on any page. No page views or registration events reach those companies from it.
3.2 If you complete a free registration from that browser, we do not send the server-side registration event to Meta or TikTok.
3.3 Everything else keeps working. The cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in, security, and core site operation stay in place. Our analytics, which have no advertising features turned on, continue as described in Section 2.2(c) of the Privacy Policy. Your account, your registry records, and every feature of the Services work exactly as before. We do not treat you differently for opting out.
04How to check
4.1 The switch below shows its current state every time you open this page. If it reads as opted out, the cookie is set, or your browser is sending the Global Privacy Control signal.
4.2 You can also look for the cookie yourself. In your browser settings, find the cookies stored for watchsafe.io and look for one named ws_no_share with the value 1. Clearing your cookies removes it, and the switch will read as not opted out until you set it again.
