Autavia is a contraction of automobile and aviation, and Heuer first used it in 1933 for a dashboard timer — not a wristwatch at all. It became a chronograph on the wrist in 1962 and stayed one for decades, which makes this 2019 revival a genuine departure: it is time-only, on a COSC-certified automatic, with no chronograph at all.
Key dates.
- Autavia name first used, on a dashboard timer for cars and aircraft
- This is the first Autavia that is not a chronograph.

How do I check a TAG Heuer CBE2110 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
