Cellini is where Rolex put the watches that were not Oysters: no screw-down crown, no rotating bezel, a leather strap and a lacquer dial. This is the time-only reference from the 2014 relaunch. Rolex retired the collection once the Perpetual 1908 arrived, which is why no end year is recorded here.
- Cellini references are not Oyster-cased and do not carry the water resistance of the Oyster line.
Before you ask.
When was the Rolex 50509 produced?
The 50509 was produced from 2014 to 2022.
What movement does the Rolex 50509 use?
The Rolex 50509 runs the Cal. 3132, an automatic movement.
How do I check a Rolex 50509 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
