The first Richard Mille, built in seventeen examples in 2001. It laid out the whole formula at once: a tonneau case screwed together from three parts, a skeletonised baseplate engineered the way a chassis component would be, a tourbillon, and a price with no precedent for a name nobody knew. Everything the brand has made since is a variation on it.

How do I check a Richard Mille RM 001 with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
