Hi-Beat
6 references catalogued.
Hi-Beat is a movement family rather than a collection: mechanical calibres running at 36,000 vibrations per hour instead of the usual 28,800, which divides the second more finely and holds rate better against small disturbances. It costs power and demands harder-wearing parts, which is why few makers sustain it. Grand Seiko has since 1968.
