The modern Vanguard takes the Cintrée Curvex — Muller's curved tonneau, bent along its length to follow the wrist — and rebuilds it in sportier materials with a strap integrated into the case. The curve is the difficult part: a movement inside a case that bends has to be laid out to fit the arc.
