A tourbillon paired with a remontoir d'égalité. The remontoir is a constant-force device sitting between the mainspring and the escapement, re-arming at a fixed interval so the balance receives the same push whether the watch is fully wound or nearly run down. The tourbillon answers gravity and the remontoir answers the mainspring. Journe built both into one movement.
- The remontoir d'égalité is a constant-force mechanism separate from the tourbillon. A tourbillon on its own does not regulate torque.
Before you ask.
When was the F.P. Journe TN produced?
The TN was produced from 2004 to 2018.
What movement does the F.P. Journe TN use?
The F.P. Journe TN runs the Cal. 1403, a manual movement.
How do I check a F.P. Journe TN with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
