A time-only watch that puts its engineering where nobody looks. Two mainspring barrels run in parallel so the movement draws steadier torque across its 56 hours than one barrel could manage, and the plates and bridges are solid 18-carat rose gold rather than the usual brass. François-Paul Journe's position has always been that chronometry is the point and the dial should stay quiet about it.
- Solid gold movement plates are standard on Journe's calibres from 2004 onward, and are visible through the caseback.
Before you ask.
When was the F.P. Journe CS produced?
The CS has been in production since 2005.
What movement does the F.P. Journe CS use?
The F.P. Journe CS runs the Cal. 1304, a manual movement.
How do I check a F.P. Journe CS with Watch Safe?
Look up the watch's serial number in the Watch Safe registry to see whether a record exists or a theft flag is attached. A registry search identifies records for a specific serial; it does not authenticate the watch. Authentication is performed in person by an independent expert authenticator, and Watch Safe records and publishes the result.
