A 1998 design that used aluminium and rubber when both read as industrial rather than luxurious, and it sold in numbers no one expected. The bezel is rubber with BVLGARI BVLGARI struck into it — a motif Bulgari took from the lettering on Roman coins, which it had already used on its jewellery.
