Screw-Down Crown
A winding crown that threads onto a tube in the case to seal it, a core part of how dive and sport watches achieve their water resistance.

Why this detail matters.
The feel of a screw-down crown is hard to fake well: genuine examples thread smoothly for multiple full turns and seat firmly, while many counterfeits engage for only a rough turn or two. A screw-down crown on a reference that never had one, or a push-pull crown where the spec requires threading, is a specification mismatch an inspection will catch.
