Glossary
A folding bracelet or strap clasp that opens on a hinge rather than a buckle pin, distributing wear more evenly than a simple buckle.
Deployant clasps carry their own reference-specific stampings and construction details, and an aftermarket or mismatched clasp is a common way a strap or bracelet gets misrepresented as original. Checking the clasp's engravings and fit against the rest of the bracelet is part of a full authentication.
