The first Carrera, on the Valjoux 72. What makes the reference hard to shop is that 2447 is not one watch: the suffix letters describe the dial, and collectors price the variants very differently. N is a black dial, S silver, and a two-letter suffix reads dial first and subdials second — so 2447SN is a silver dial with black registers and 2447NS is the reverse.
- The suffix is a dial code, not a production sequence. Two 2447s with different letters are visually different watches.
- A 2447 without a suffix letter is under-specified rather than wrong — the bare reference names the model, not the dial.
