What an in-person inspection involves
The independent authenticator examines the case, movement, and documentation, then records what they find.
Watch Safe does not accept remote or photo-only certifications. Every inspection happens with the watch physically present.
The authenticator documents what they examined and signs off on the result. That record is what Watch Safe stores.
Once the authenticator certifies the watch, Watch Safe records the inspection and publishes a permanent public registry entry tied to the serial number, along with a blockchain-anchored digital certificate.
What it costs
Watch Safe authentication is priced by the watch's value, from $250 for watches up to $19,999 to $1,199 above $100,000. The fee covers the independent authenticator's physical examination and the permanent registry entry. Current tiers are always on the pricing page.
